Led Zeppelin – How The East Was Won ( Eeelgrass ) now in Stock

Led Zeppelin – How The East Was Won (Eelgrass EGL20272/273)

This blog is going with a decidedly ( exclusive even 🙂 Led Zeppelin flavour and for that we make no apologies . Eelgrass’s How The East Was Won is with us now .
We mentioned in our last blog  HERE that we had a few copies of Eeelgrass’s ‘West Was Won’ incoming and they shouldn’t be too far now . As good as the Empress Valley release is and it’s a barnstormer in every way ( possibly bar price ) we said that the only way to have as complete ‘source’ as possible was to go for this version .

A stunning performance and certainly one of the most important recordings to surface in quite some time…you need this what else is left to say !!!

The guys over at Collector’s Music Review as always do a sterling job see their review HERE :

Other recent and not so recent Led Zeppelin releases ( below ) can be ordered in for a 50% Deposit . Email us for prices and availability – info@liverockandmetalcds.com

Led Zeppelin’s ‘How The East Was Won’ on Empress Valley and Eelgrass

So it’s been around 2 weeks now and the the most anticipated release by Empress Valley from their soundboard revolution series this year, ‘How The East Was Won’ landed in the market .
It’s a soundboard recording from the bands gig at the Osaka festival hall on the 29th of September, 1971.

EV had already promoted this release with 2 sample ‘singles’and they kept us all hanging in for a long time , actually felt like forever .
For some inexplicable reason EV did not include these single releases no doubt wanting to extract every £/$ they could from these .

Kind of nuts in our opinion to split out the show ( albeit incomplete ) over 4 Discs . If you want the full concert, ‘The Immigrant Song’ and ‘Friends / Stairway To Heaven’ singles, if they’re not already sold out, are the way to go. OR you can go for the Eelgrass release ( see below )

How The East Was Won - Empress Valley - CD

We haven’t plunged for the EV set yet as it is proving expensive even at wholesale and is fairly hard to track down BUT fear not we have a handful of the Eeelgrass release coming in soon it’s more affordable anyway and you get the same quality soundwise 🙂

David Bowie – Standing On My Own (EGG 57) is a single disc with an assortment of tracks recorded between 1966 and 1971.

Some notes for this release: “When the, quickly sold out, LP of Standing On My Own was released there seemed to be a great demand for a cd version as well. The early career of David Bowie and his way to stardom has always been of interest to collectors and fans. So to satisfy the need the Eggs present Standing On My Own on CD with 5 extra bonus tracks compared to the lp version. From some early demos in the sixties up to 1971 when he visited the USA for the first time which became the start of his worldwide fame”.

Kiss – You Are The Best – Because I Say So! (The Godfather Box G.R. BOX 26)

With a theme that is a homage to The Dutch KISS Army, an organization of hard core KISS fans who organized the first fan club for the band outside of the United States back in 1976. This is an absolute stunner of a box from Godfather .
